jessi5000 posted and I'm supposed to post my answers here and I'm also supposed to offer to ask whoever replies 5 questions but I am not creative enough for that.I commented on some interview meme that |
1. How did you get into Brand New? I'm just curious because the guys were brothers of my friends, everyone on LI knows them, but IDK how people in FL get to be fans :)
Back when I lived in CT, everyone in my church youth group was kinda obsessed with them so I decided to give them a listen and I ended up liking them :) I even have pictures w/them from a show they did before they went on their whole WE HATE CAMERAS thing.
2. Why did you choose a degree in psychology during college?
I entered college with a major in marine biology. Unfortunately I forgot to research how majors actually work until after my first semester was over. Once I saw all the science classes I was going to have to take, I realized I was likely going to flunk out. Not wanting to do that, I changed my major to Spanish until I could find something else I liked. (I've always gotten good grades so I figured I'd at least graduate with a high GPA.) As an elective during the second semester of freshman year I took general psychology. I got a C in the class but the stuff I learned was so interesting that I decided to major in it. It was never a matter of "what I want to be when I grow up" - I still don't know the answer to that. But more like "I want to enjoy what I'm learning for the next 4 years of my life." My GPA was pretty crappy but I'm proud of myself for earning a degree at all, so there you have it.
3. Is the way you date affected by your Christian faith?
Absolutely. Mainly in two ways: 1)I'm not having sex until I get married, 2)I won't date someone who isn't also Christian. I broke up with Alberto because he wanted to get too physical too fast. There was no potential for anything emotionally deeper than just making out or whatever. And when I was kinda sorta seeing Matt a few years ago, we did a lot of arguing/debating about our beliefs in God (or lack thereof) and it just never would have worked out. I'm not into getting into relationships just for fun either, I really have to see something there, and I learned that lesson from dating Alberto - there wasn't really much there other than we each had a crush on the other. Also, I believe the guy should ask out the girl. Whether or not there is any cold hard truth to this, I have ALWAYS been the asker and after ~27 years of life it is about daggone time I am the askee!!!!!
4. Do you have a tasty recipe to share?
I don't know if this counts as a recipe, but something I've enjoyed lately is taking a can each of diced tomatoes, black beans, and yellow corn, about half a container of diced onions (I usually sautee these a little bit), and mixing it with some lime juice and cilantro and then shredding pepperjack cheese over it. Stick it in the microwave for... idk 30 seconds or a minute, I forgot. Yum!
5. What TV shows do you like to watch?
As far as what's on currently: The Office, The Biggest Loser, Wipeout, and I sort of watch The Secret Life of the American Teenager but sometimes I just can't handle it because it is seriously that ridiculous. I haven't been into the Real World/Road Rules Challenges lately but I used to always HAVE to watch them. Losing It With Jillian is ok but it's on the same time as Wipeout, and it only has 8 episodes a season - tonight is the finale already wtf? Also, Chopped and Iron Chef on the Food network, and My First Place and House Hunters (not the international one though) on HGTV. OH! And World's Strictest Parents. That show is bananas.
All time favorites: Saved By The Bell, Full House, Boy Meets World, Roseanne, and many others I can't think of right now.
