Rock The Universe, day 2 [Sep. 7th, 2008|10:58 am]
Tray Dawg
So I make all these claims of having "fun" on Friday. Then Saturday happened and completely schooled me in the art of having fun. Like, I only THOUGHT I had fun on Friday but I totally had major fun on Saturday!!!! (No, I really did have fun both days, just day 2 knocked day 1 out of the park!)

I mean, even the drive over was fun. There are a ridiculous amount of inside jokes that were created and played up throughout the day. Like the one about me being a boy. Haha. So when we all got there, I COULD NOT FIND MY TICKET WTF. It was scary, and my friends freaked out because they didn't know I was still at the ticket scanner thing. (Universal is so high-tech or whatever, haha.) I ended up getting out of line and finding it IN THE PLACE I HAD BEEN LOOKING THE WHOLE TIME BEFORE I GOT OUT OF LINE WTF. It was lame.

The first (and for some people, only) ride we went on was the Men In Black ride. I won, but I only won because I pressed the red button and actually got the bonus points this time. I felt bad because other people did not know you could do this. WHOOPS. So after that we ate at the "International Food & Film Festival" restaurant, where everyone was mesmerized by the movie clips being shown on all the tv's. The food was ok, considering half of it was a bunch of my least favorite vegetables, lol.

So then we saw Jars of Clay who was really good. There is a video on my Myspace page of me, Ryan, and Aaron jumping around like crazy people. (ETA: Now with more linkage!) So then we caught a few minutes of Jeremy Camp before heading back over to hear the speaker, who was that guy from Korn who quit the band when he became a Christian. He's really come a long way in the last few years so I am really happy for him. I really want to buy his book that he wrote. After that we saw Third Day who was also freaking great. Then we had the candle lighting ceremony which was scary because Traci + Fire = SCARED!!! The candle wax did even burn my hand a little but fortunately for me the wind blew out my candle.

So after that, some people left because they are losers (jk) and the rest of us went on the Simpsons ride. They all really enjoyed it so I was glad that they went on it. I had been trying to get Ryan to go on because he is kind of a wimp about rides, but he is one of the "losers" who left hahaha. So I texted him to tell him the line was moving really fast and he missed out, but I suck at T9 and wrote "oozing" instead of "moving". HAHAHA.

The car ride back was cool too because me and Daymelis talked about boys for the whole way back to Tampa. I don't think I've done that in ages! It was basically a great conversation.

Overall yesterday kicked butt!!! YAY :D

OMG Jars of Clay is love. I need to reconnect with that band. I haven't bought one of their albums since 11th Hour. I've seen them four times though.

I need to get 11th Hour. I think all my favorite songs by them are on that album though.
